I needed a cake for a family party, and not knowing about any of the bakeries in the area I decided to take a chance on this one. The store itself had a nice selection of cakes, cookies, and other deserts, and all seemed fresh. I had no problem picking out a cake I wanted, and it was boxed and given to me right away. The staff wasn't friendly, and seemed kind of annoyed to be working, but wan't rude in any way. The cake we got turned out really good, one of the better made cakes I have had, definitely coming back to this bakery.

Alright, I don't usually leave reviews, but this really got me fristrated and annoyed. My first time actually going to the bakery but my mother and family has boughten cakes from them many times every year. I go in to get a cup of coffee. I only had my debit card. After making the coffee, I see the sign behind the counter on the back wall that says $10 minimum and I just wanted a coffee. The lady, not sure if she's the owner or not, but she's the blonde haired lady that works there. I said I only have my debit card, I don't have cash on me. She nods her head no and says "No, you have to spend $10!" I do a full 360 turn, to see if there's anything that I would want and there isn't. So I had to go next door to the Liquor store ATM which charged me $2.25 for using their machine and my bank, Chase, charged me $2.50 for using a non-Chase ATM. So I go back and give her the $20, and she gives me back $18 change and says "sorry about that". No she wasn't. I paid $4.75 plus $2.00 for 1 cup of coffee. $6.75 for a regular cup of coffee. I didn't want to be rude and just leave it since I already made it. Regardless, all the stores in the shopping center such as Old Bridge Pizza, Happy Farm Market, Chung Sing Resturant, etc, all have a $10 minimum for credit cards, and most of the time, I don't spend $10 and they say no problem, if that's all you have then it's alright. But apparently this "high-scale" bakery wouldn't even make an exception, KNOWING that I work 4 stores down.

And a $2.00 cup of coffee should have been $2.14 if she actually rang it up and added tax, which means 1 thing, and I'm sure you guys all know. She basically just pocketed the money for the store.

Here's the kicker. I had my work shirt on, which is THE UPS STORE, a few shops down from her bakery, in the same shopping center. My name tag and the store name were right on my shirt.

Unbelievable. I guess she didn't want to pay Visa the fee for only $2.00. But I ended up paying $6.75 for a cup of coffee. You obviously need the money more than me miss.

This is so you all know how their customer service is. If I wanted to be rude and unprofessional, I would have just said that I have no cash to pay them, and they would have to throw out the coffee anyways, but I didnt, as that would have been unprofessional and rude.

Take care, I will never go back there and tell my family this story so they will never go back there either, as I don't give them business, but my family has given them a lot of business for years. Every birthday and holiday, we always get a cake or a variety tray of cookies and such from them.

    Regards,

    Jordan

Walked in and asked if they had focaccia bread. The woman answered and explained that she only had the kind with the sauce. As she was clearly assisting me, an older Italian man walked in and told her what she wanted. Like is was imaginary, she just started to help him. I stood there in shock and then just walked out. The vibe I get from this visit and previous, is that if you are not Italian (which I am, just don't look it), then you are invisible...

Been coming here since I was little. Always delicious, always friendly staff. They make you feel like family. The pignoli cookies are always on point. This is a gem right smack in the middle of old bridge.
